American Idols, Green Day and more on the way

TV American Idol

The top 10 finalists from “American Idol” will hit the road on the latest iteration of the American Idols Live! Tour.

Expect to see your favorites including Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud (pictured above), Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre.

The show plays Staples Center in L.A. on July 16 ($43.50-$69.50) and Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario on July 17 ($40.50-$69.50). Tickets for both venues go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Country superstar Toby Keith will play San Manuel Amphitheatre in Devore with Trace Adkins on Aug. 15. Tickets are $29.50-$75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Journey will play the way-out-there venue on Aug. 1. Tickets are $25-$79.50 and go on sale at noon Saturday.

Pop star Pink has added a fall leg to her Funhouse tour with a stop Sept. 18 at Staples. An on-sale date and ticket prices are TBA. Green Day’s headed to the Forum in support of its upcoming “21st Century Breakdown.” Tickets are slated to go on sale on June 6.

Heaven & Hell are back on the road, this time with prog-punks Coheed and Cambria. The bill will play the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Aug. 11. Tickets are $37.50-$70. Also: The Heroes of Woodstock featuring Jefferson Starship, Ten Years After, Canned Heat, Big Brother & The Holding Company and Grateful Dead’s Tom Constanten, Aug. 23, $25-$50; Old School Jams featuring Lisa Lisa, Ready for the World, Klmaxx, Soulsonic Force and more, Sept. 13, $35-$65; all on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

At Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk: Yes, Asia, July 7, $29.50-$125; The Ultimate Doo Wop Show featuring the Contours, Jimmy Clanton, Cleve Duncan & the Penguins and more, June 27, $37.50-$57.50; both on sale at 1 p.m. Saturday exclusively on livenation.com.

The second Sunset Strip Music Festival, which will shut down a portion of the Sunset Strip, has been announced for Sept. 10-12. A lineup and ticket information is forthcoming.

At Nokia Theatre L.A. Live: Keyshia Cole, The Dream, Keri Hilson, Bobby V, June 18, $35-$75, on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.

Third Eye Blind and Low vs. Diamond will team up on June 25 at the Hollywood Palladium. Tickets, $37.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday exclusively at livenation.com.

At the Wiltern in L.A.: Jarvis Cocker, July 27, $, 10 a.m. Friday exclusively at livenation.com.

Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy is going it solo with a stop at the House of Blues Anaheim on June 8. Tickets are $20-$22.50. Mighty Mighty Bosstones will play the venue on July 9 with Voodoo Glow Skulls. Tickets are $25-$27.50. Both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

At the Grove of Anaheim: Kem, June 27, $50-$60; Lucha VaVoom, Aug. 8, $$30-$75; both on sale at noon Saturday.

Ozzfest veterans Hatebreed will play the Glass House in Pomona on Aug. 18 with Chimaira, Winds of Plague, Dying Fetus and Toxic Holocaust. Tickets, $20, go on sale at noon. Also: Cursive, June 29, $15, on sale now.

Swine flu concerns have canceled Cornelius’ gig at the venue with Deerhoof on May 16, as well as a May 14 show at the Mayan. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Northern California rapper E40 will play the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana on Aug. 21. Tickets are $20. Also: A.I.R. Music Fest featuring Entice, May 29, $15; Shwayze, July 3, $25; America, Oct. 2, $50; all on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

At the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano: Tyler Hilton, May 28, $15; Walter Michaels Band, June 4, $12; Raul Malo, June 12, $20; the Untouchables, July 2, $13; Sonny Landreth, Aug. 21, $20; all on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The May 6 El Rey Theatre stop of the Hard Truth Soldiers Tour 2009 with PARIS, Planet Asia and more has been canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Toadies postponed show at the El Rey is back on for July17. Tickets, $22, are on sale now and tickets from the original April 14 show will be honored. Also: Cursive, June 28, $17, on sale now.

At the Music Box at Fonda in Hollywood: Old 97’s, plus solo performances by Rhett Miller and Murray Hammond, July 9, $22, on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
