Bid on eBay items to help Lit drummer battle cancer

An hour-long lesson on six strings from Steve Vai. Tickets and VIP passes to a Dave Matthews Band show. A guitar signed by Tim McGraw. A private dinner for four with Lit at the Slidebar in Fullerton — or the chance to shave off guitarist Jeremy Popoff’s super- long goatee during a Lit show.
Those items, plus several dozen autographed collectibles and rare memorabilia, are currently being auctioned on eBay via the Make a Noise Foundation to raise funds for Lit drummer Allen Shellenberger, who you’ll recall is suffering from the same rare brain tumor that Sen. Ted Kennedy has fought.
Items donated and/or signed by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donna Summer, No Doubt, the Offspring, Judd Apatow, James Taylor, Nickelback, Maroon 5, Pierce Brosnan and more fill the pages of auction offerings.
