Bid on eBay items to help Lit drummer battle cancer

September 29th, 2008, 6:14 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Ben Wener

An hour-long lesson on six strings from Steve Vai. Tickets and VIP passes to a Dave Matthews Band show. A guitar signed by Tim McGraw. A private dinner for four with Lit at the Slidebar in Fullerton — or the chance to shave off guitarist Jeremy Popoff’s super- long goatee during a Lit show.

Those items, plus several dozen autographed collectibles and rare memorabilia, are currently being auctioned on eBay via the Make a Noise Foundation to raise funds for Lit drummer Allen Shellenberger, who you’ll recall is suffering from the same rare brain tumor that Sen. Ted Kennedy has fought.

Items donated and/or signed by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donna Summer, No Doubt, the Offspring, Judd Apatow, James Taylor, Nickelback, Maroon 5, Pierce Brosnan and more fill the pages of auction offerings. (Check out the whole list on Lit’s blog, or scour the selections on Ebay here.) Bid soon, bid high … and be sure to check back a little less than 10 days from now to outfox those last-second bidders.
