Probably just another viral rumor, but it’s one I’d love to see come true: Dr. Funkenberry’s Celeb News claims that Prince has been in L.A. lately putting the finishing touches on both a live CD (to be included in a photo essay entitled 21 Nights) and a live DVD, taken mostly from his masterful Coachella performance two weeks ago. Consequence of Sound, in regurgitating this little tidbit, has wishfully titled the DVD Indio Nights.
Whether it will ever come to light, who knows, but it wouldn’t be unprecedented: His Purpleness has issued concert films/videos dating back to his Purple Rain days, although the live CD would only be his second proper live audio release, after 2002’s One Night Alone Live. Here’s hoping.
