Madonna coming to Dodger Stadium, Tina Turner touring too

We knew a tour was in the works — when this decade has Madge put out something new and not criss-crossed the globe singing songs from it? But here’s a switch: Rather than once more heating up the Forum (by insisting the air-conditioning be shut off during her performance), Madonna is moving up a size — at least out here.
Her Sticky & Sweet Tour, complementing her chart-topping new album Hard Candy, kicks off in August in Wales, hits the East Coast at the start of October … and eventually winds its way to San Diego’s Petco Park on Nov. 4 and Dodger Stadium on Nov. 6.
Don’t want to see her in such an enormous location? Prepare to travel and shell out the big bucks to see her Nov. 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. (Or you could jet to NYC to see one of her two Madison Square Garden gigs, Oct. 6-7). Tickets go on sale June 1. Price: your car, plus a full tank of premium gas.
(Actually, it’s $95-$350.)
Ms. Ciccone’s next global trek isn’t the only big announcement today, though. Tina Turner, who supposedly retired from live performance after her 2000 outing, has revealed the itinerary for a fall tour, with stops at Staples Center (Oct. 13) and Honda Center (Oct. 14) a month before she turns 69.
“After performing with Beyonce at the Grammy Awards, the response was overwhelming,” Turner said in a press statement. “Everywhere I went people were asking me when I was going back on tour. So after a lot of thought and planning, I can answer the only way I know how.”
UPDATE: Tickets, $59.50-$153, go on sale May 19 at 10 a.m.
